Dominique Coleman
Title: Assistant Coach

Dominique Coleman is in his second season as an assistant coach for the HCC Men's Basketball team.  

A native of Oakland, CaliforniA, Dominique came to HCC and earned an Associate in Arts degree in Field Studies. While playing basketball for HCC, he led the nation in scoring with 27.1 points per game. He also led the HCC Hawks to the State Tournament before being knocked out by Chipola Community College. After graduating from HCC, Dominique received a scholarship to University of Colorado where he received his bachelor's degree in Sociology in 2008.

Prior to joining the HCC coaching staff, Dominique spent 10 years playing professionally in Europe. France, Italy, Belgium, Ukraine and Finland were among the places he played.

Dominique has received the following awards as a professional and collegiate athlete:

  • 2002 Monroe County Player of the Year
  • 2005 HCC Athlete of the year
  • 2007 University of Colorado Athlete of the Year Finalist
  • 2009 NBA GLeague Champion
  • 2013 2nd Team in Ukraine
