Daniel enters his first season as pitching coach for the Hawks.
Daniel began his playing career at Steinbrenner High School in Lutz, Florida before beginning his college career at Eckerd College. He then transferred to Georgia Southwestern State University, where he was a relief pitcher for the Hurricanes from 2014 to 2016. Perez graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2016. He then earned a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology from Florida State University in 2018.
Perez got his first chance to coach at the collegiate level in the summer of 2017, when he served as a pitching coach in the Show Me Collegiate League in Ozark, Missouri. In the summer of 2016, he coached for the Evoshield Canes travel organization, working with several players who have gone on to play at the NCAA Division 1 level.
The Tampa native comes to the Hawks from Emmanuel College, where he served as an assistant pitching coach. Prior to joining the staff at Emmanuel, Daniel spent the 2018 season as a sports information assistant for the baseball program at Florida A&M University. Now, he resides in Lutz, Florida.
